4 MW above the parking lot – record-speed steel for HUK-Coburg. For HUK-Coburg's new solar carport we supplied roughly 260 tonnes of structural steel – designed and erected by the Rudolf Hörmann Group. From the moment the order was placed, speed mattered: within just two months we fabricated, staged and delivered the full tonnage. Manufacturing took place in our Ramec 1 and Ramec 2 facilities, with an emphasis on tight tolerances and erection-friendly components.

Parking-lot canopies are a key enabler for building solar power plants without consuming new land. With more than 4 MW installed, HUK-Coburg is making a clear statement: generate clean energy exactly where daily life happens – right above the parking spaces. To keep erection moving smoothly, components were bundled for installation, clearly labeled and dispatched in the intended assembly sequence. On carport grids, bolt patterns and node accuracy directly drive the speed of on-site assembly.
